Blood Donation Campaign at Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery
KNPC Medical Team of the HSE Department has organized a blood donation campaign in cooperation with Kuwait Central Blood Bank at the IOB of Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery.
The 4th blood donation patronage, DCEO MAA Refinery, Shujaa Salem Al-Ajmi had previously addressed all employees to take part and support “Donate Life” 12 months-long Campaign, and thanked the organizers efforts expressing top management determination to work out any obstacles face the Medical Team campaigns whether blood donation or health awareness related.
Head Medical Section, Dr. Walid al-Harbi said that KNPC continually organizes voluntary campaigns to support the society in different aspects as with its regular blood donation events KNPC tops the Blood Bank reserve boosters in Kuwait.
The Campaign crowned with 200 blood bags comes to succeed the first held in MAB November 2023, the second in the MAA Refinery HOB the following December, and the third in Sabhan Depots Clinic January 2024 gathering 250, 93, and 201 blood bags successively and totaling overall blood bags to 744, all of which undergo diseases-free tests. “The infected bag, if any, is disposed and the donator is recommended in a private fashion to refer to a health center or a doctor”. Added Al-Harbi.
