The Umm Al-Aish Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Filling Plant in northern Kuwait was commissioned in 2015. The facility occupies approximately 150,000 square metres and represents a transformative expansion of Kuwait's energy infrastructure. The plant increased the country's LPG filling capacity by nearly 160%, serving as a strategic complement to the Shuaiba Plant while significantly enhancing production and storage capabilities to ensure the reliable supply of LPG to the local market.
With an annual capacity of 15 million cylinders, the plant features six highly efficient underground storage tanks, comprehensive maintenance workshops, and a dedicated transport fleet.
The commissioning of Umm Al-Aish alongside Shuaiba created sufficient combined production capacity to satisfy Kuwait's domestic demand through 2030. Additionally, the country's strategic LPG reserves increased, exceeding 300% of consumer requirements, substantially strengthening energy security.
