KNPC in the First National Urban Forum

Under the slogan “Partners in Sustainable Urban Development”, KNPC took part in the First National Urban Forum, organized by United Nations Human Settlements Programme, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, and with participation of governmental and community bodies who contributed to the sustainable development programs.
On this occasion, MAA, Environment Engineer, Abdullah Ali Al-Rashed gave a presentation on KNPC sustainable policy through the CFP that implements the most stringiest international stipulations producing ecofriendly petroleum products, and explained on the Wastes Treatment Unit of the Project.
Al-Rashed also tackled the mechanism of managing solid wastes, waste water treating units and how water is reused especially for irrigation, besides the Company green buildings like the HO and MAB Admin Building, as well as the Technical Building, and pointed that all the Company buildings consider the world stipulations and standards concerning sustainability and preserving the environment.
In her turn, Head of the UN-Habitat GCC Office, Ameera Al-Hassan said that the Forum seeks to showcase Kuwait policy progress in implementing the sustainable development goals and to shed lights on works the state carried out regarding the new global urban plan, which gets updated every 20 years since 2016.
