USA Ambassador Visits MAB Refinery
The United States of America Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Ms. Alina Romanowski visited KNPC yesterday, where she was briefed on the CFP project at MAB Refinery. She was received by the Deputy CEO of MAB Refinery Eng. Wadha Al-Khateeb, the Refinery Managers and Senior Officials.
After welcoming Ambassador Romanowski and her accompanying Delegation, Al-Khateeb shared a presentation on the Company's Refineries and their production capacities, as well as explaining the Company's products and their specifications before and after carrying out the Project, which include a range of high-quality fuels that conform to global environmental standards and specifications, that contribute greatly to the reduction of negative impacts on the environment.
In parallel, Team Leader of the Process Engineering at MAB Refinery Eng. Jamila Al-Mutairi, presented the Company's plans to preserve the environment and its efforts to reduce emissions, and its projects in this regard, such as the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Project, the Treatment of Oil Contaminated Soil, and the Recovery of Flare Gases. Furthermore, Al-Mutairi discussed the Company's communal efforts. While Team Leader of the Precision Machinery Maintenance Eng. Howaida Mubarak introduced an explanation on KNPC history through the Refinery Museum.
Following Ambassador Romanowski and the accompanying Delegation touring the Refinery and the CFP facilities, she expressed her gratitude to KNPC for giving her the opportunity to visit the Project and get acquainted with the Kuwaiti Downstream industry, from crude oil to the delivery of the final product to the consumer.
Ambassador Romanowski highlighted the Company's efforts to accomplish this important Project, which constitutes a prominent milestone for the protection of the environment and the climate, and stressed the importance of cooperation between her Country and the State of Kuwait in the field of oil industry, noting the historical relations between the two Countries.
Concluding her visit, the United States of America Ambassador wrote down a word in the VIP Visitor’s Register Book, through which she expressed her gratitude with this visit, that provided her with ample information, confirming her Country's keenness to continue cooperation with the Kuwaiti oil sector, within the framework of a solid partnership working for a clean environment.
