During the visit, the Delegation headed by Program Director Dr. Amira Al-Hassan was briefed on what the Company has accomplished thus far in the fields of Social Welfare, Preserving Labor rights, and Entertaining Contractors Labor Claims and Complaints.

In this regard, Team Leader of Project Coordination and the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Muhammad Hayati, affirmed the Company's keenness to benefit from the expertise of the UN Program, in order to enable the Committee to perform its role and develop its work mechanisms, so that its experience in this field is integrated to become a leading example in and outside Kuwait.

Hayati stated that the visit reflected the UN Program’s interest in getting closely acquainted with the works and tasks of the Company's Social Welfare and Complaints Committee, the role it plays, and the achievements it has accomplished since its establishment in late 2018.

Hayati pointed out that the experience of the Committee caught the interest of the UN Program representatives who expressed their admiration for what it has achieved thus far and is doing in terms of safeguarding the Labor rights, keeping its members well informed and up to speed with their rights and the duties that they entail during the period of their contracts with the Company, in addition to the regular audits on the Refinery Contractors, and other tasks carried out by the Committee, especially those pertaining to HSE areas.
