Commissioning CDU 111 at MAB

 
MAB Refinery announced commissioning the new crude oil distillation unit (CDU) No. 111 which represents the main gateway to the CFP in the refinery. For this purpose, MAB held a press conference in the presence of the DCEO of the refinery, Wadha al-Khateeb, the DCEO for Projects Abdullah Fahad al-Ajami, and a number of refinery teams, projects and representatives of local press and media.
 
In her speech, Al-Khateeb confirmed that the CDU is the largest of its kind in the State of Kuwait, with a refining capacity of 264 thousand bpd, adding that the unit will contribute to raising the refining capacity of the refinery from 270 thousand barrels to 454 thousand bpd.
 
For his part, Al-Ajami pointed out that the safe operation of the unit is an exceptional event that took place in exceptional circumstances which coincided with the spread of the new Corona virus pandemic in Kuwait and the whole world, explaining that this unit is one of the CFP main units at Mina Abdullah Refinery.
