Enhancing collaboration between KNPC and the Environment Public Authority

DCEO for Support Services Abdul Aziz Al Duaij visited the Environment Public Authority (EPA), where he met with its Director General Sheikh Abdullah Al Hamoud Al Sabah and held a meeting with a number of its officials.

Al Duaij said that the visit aimed at strengthening cooperation with (EPA) as one of the most important national oil partners. He pointed out that the company pays the environmental aspect most of its attention, based on its belief that the preservation of the environment is a fundamental issue and a collective responsibility, which requires combined efforts at the official and private levels.

He pointed out that the company is keen on continuous cooperation with (EPA), to ensure the sustainability of environmental efforts, and thus provide a better life for our community and future generations.

During the visit, they discussed aspects pertaining to the environment, such as biodiversity, environmental data management, future projects, exchange of information, and benefiting from the expertise of both sides.

The officials spoke highly of the role played by KNPC in this aspect, especially in combating oil spills, reducing the percentage of gas burning in the facilities of the company, as well as its efforts to raise awareness of environmental issues and various laws related thereto.
