We are one of the largest  oil refining companies across the world. Our future looks  much brighter. The Company total manpower increased in the financial year 2010/2011 by 115 employees . 175 employees were recruited in this period  122  of them are Kuwaitis, the majority of whom were engineers  and technical graduates. The company total manpower reached by end on the year 5562 employees in both   operational and administrative fields. The number of Kuwaiti s   totaled 4503  employees accounting for 81% of the company total labour force.T his figure shows an increase of102  Kuwaiti employees from their number in the previous fiscal year. The maintained its  effort to attract  distinguished Kuwaiti university graduates  to fill in its job opportunities especially those who completed their  studies at the engineering faculties

Training and Career Development
 
The company continued implementation of its  training and career development strategy of intensifying the employees training and upgrading their skills and capabilities. A target has been set by the company management which necessitated  providing every employee with a minimum of 30 hours  of training a year. The company conducted or participated in a large number of training courses ,workshops or seminars in collaboration with internal and external firms and institutions. The number of   training courses   conducted locally totaled124 courses  ,seminars or lectures attended by 1055 employees. External training courses totaled 644  joined by 1323 employees. Moreover the Petroleum Training Center of KPC continued to  implement its extensive career development programs throughout the year. 3859 KNPC employees attended those programs  which covered a wide range of subjects. In the meantime eight employees from KNPC continued their studies outside Kuwait in the framework of the  unified scholarships  and study leaves scheme of KPC and its subsidiaries.
 
One of the outstanding features of  career development strategy in KNPC was the leadership  training program which was basically designed to  have in place a qualified cadre of employees, who are qualified to  assume the  managerial  positions when they become vacant.
