The Third SPAC Meeting

The
third SPAC meeting, Mr. Asaad Ahmed Al-Saad began the meeting by welcoming the
SPAC members and he had focused on that the purpose of this meeting is to
discuss the result of SPAC workshop recommendation that was held at KNPC
Wantaniya Club during the period of 9-17 March, 2010. Mr. Al-Saad emphasized to
develop a timetable to implement SPAC action plan for the next two years. At the
end of the meeting Mr. Asaad thanks on the efforts which was done by all the
concerned in this regard.

SPAC Holds Workshops Sessions to Develop Action Plan Theme


Under the agenda of KNPC, Supplier Partnership
Advisory Council (SPAC), the Suppliers Service Center (SSC) held a series of
workshop sessions at Al-Wataniyah Club during 9-18/3/2010 to discuss the
council’s action plan themes and best implementation methods throughout the next
two years.
A constellation of KNPC staff participated in these
in addition to SPAC members (private sector representatives).
A number of action plan themes were set to be carried
out through a unified vision that implies implementation methods and mechanisms.
for his part, Mr. Mahmoud Layri, Team Leader Quality Assurance and Supplier
Services pointed out that the council action plan for the next two years is
based on the implementation of six major pivots: supporting local producers and
contractors, assuring products and services quality by supporting products
specifications, approving a formula for contracts and disputes resolving,
qualifying companies and products, emphasizing HSE concepts, and coordinating
and planning for the future projects.
Mr. layri
indicated that such pivots come under the framework of the council’s vision
and mission of building up a successful partnership with local manufacturers
and contractors through a constant communication and working with the one
team spirit for serving the oil sector and national economy

تم عقد الاجتماع الثاني لمجلس الشراكة الاستشاري للموردين والمقاولين المحليين يوم
الخميس الموافق 21/01/2010.
بدأ الاجتماع بكلمة من نائب الرئيس ونائب العضو
المنتدب لمصفاة ميناء الأحمدي رئيس مجلس الشراكة السيد أسعــد أحمـد السعــد رجب
بها بأعضاء المجلس ونوه بأن
الهدف من هذا الاجتماع هو وضع آلية تطبيق خطة العمل
للسنتين القادمتين من عمر المجلس والتي قد تم الاتفاق عليها بالاجتماع الأول، وقام
رئيس مجلس خدمة الموردين من جانبه بعرض توضيحي يوضح انجازات المركز حتى المرحلة
الحالية ودور أعضاء المجلس في كيفية استلام الشكاوي والاقتراحات المقدمة من جانب
الموردين/ المقاولين/ المصنعين.
ومن ثم تم فتح باب النقاش للمواضيع المدرجة على جدول
الاجتماع والاتفاق على كيفية التعامل مع المرحلة القادمة.
في نهاية الاجتماع شكر رئيس المجلس الحضور على تلبية
الدعوة مع التوضيح بضرورة التواصل والاستمرارية في حضور اجتماعات المجلس ضمانا
لتوثيق العلاقة و وصولا إلى الغاية التي من اجلها تم إنشاء المجلس والتي تصب في
النهاية في تطوير العلاقة ما بين القطاع النفطي والقطاع المحلي الخاص حسب توصيات
مؤسسة البترول الكويتية.

Supplier Partnership Advisory Council (SPAC)
SPAC chair Mr. Asaad Al-saad has conducted the first preliminary SPAC
meeting on the Sixteenth of June 2009 in the Hall of Dura Hilton Mangaf
explaining the important of SPAC roles and the important of partnership as well.
By the end of the seminar Mr. Asaad Al-Saad has presented Mr. Farouk
Al-Zanki Chairman of KNPC to conduct the drawing to choose SPAC members as
following.

First SPAC Meeting
The First Meeting of the SPAC was conducted on Wed.
28/10/2009 at Dar Alwataneyyah in Ahmadi area. Mr. Asaad Al-Saad (SPAC
Chairman) Chaired the
first meeting and Mr. Hatem Al-Awadhi (Asst. Chair.) have also attended the
meeting. SPAC Members from KNPC/PAI/ KCCI/KIU.
SPAC Members Representing ( Local Manufacturing Sector / Vendors (Non
Manufacturers) / Maintenance & Services Contractors / EPC/PC Approved
Kuwaiti Contractors ) have also attending the meeting in additional to Observing
members from KOC & PIC.
