As one of the leading company
in Kuwait oil sector, KNPC is playing a major role to implement KPC
mechanism that emphasis on the support of local products to enhance
and encourage domestic economy.
Under patronage of Mr. Farouk Al-Zanki, Chairman & Managing
Director, Supplier Services Center (SSC) in coordination with Kuwait
Industrial Union (KIU) will conduct a seminar that will focus on
Supplier partnership Advisory Council (SPAC) and Supplier Services
Center.
Furthermore, SPAC approved recommendation and work plan for the next
two years will be introduced.

The
third SPAC meeting, Mr. Asaad Ahmed Al-Saad began the meeting by
welcoming the SPAC members and he had focused on that
the purpose of this meeting is to discuss the result of SPAC
workshop recommendation that was held at KNPC Wantaniya Club
during the period of 9-17 March, 2010. Mr. Al-Saad emphasized to
develop a timetable to implement SPAC action plan for the next two
years. At the end of the meeting Mr. Assad thanks on the efforts
which was done by all the concerned in this regard.

Under
the agenda of KNP Supplier Partnership Advisory Council (SPAC),
launched in response to KPC’s recommendations aiming at enhancing
relations with the local private sector companies and chaired by Mr.
Asaad Al-Saad, Dy. Chairman & DMD MAA Refinery, the Suppliers
Service Center - Commercial Dept held a series of workshop sessions
at Al-Wataniyah Club during 9-18/3/2010 to discuss the council’s
action plan themes and best implementation methods throughout the
next two years. A constellation of KNPC staff participated in these
sessions including employees from Commercial, HSE and Engineering &
Maintenance departments, in addition to SPAC private sector
representatives. A number of action plan themes were set to be
carried out through a unified vision that implies implementation
methods and mechanisms. for his part, Mr. Mahmoud Layri, Manager of
Suppliers Service Center pointed out that the council action plan
for the next two years is based on the implementation of six major
pivots: supporting local producers and contractors, assuring
products and services quality by supporting products specifications,
approving a formula for contracts and disputes resolving, qualifying
companies and products, emphasizing HSE concepts, and coordinating
and planning for the future projects. He indicated that such pivots
come under the framework of the council’s vision and mission of
building up a successful partnership with local manufacturers and
contractors through a constant communication and working with the
one team spirit for serving the oil sector and national economy.
